Banana Blueberry Green Smoothie

After seeing my frequent green smoothie posts on Instagram, a friend recently asked if I would post exact recipes so that she could recreate them at home. In addition to my favorite Banana Walnut Green Smoothie, here’s another delicious smoothie recipe.

After my pickling adventure last summer, I have a lot of extra canning jars lying around. After seeing a lot of people using these for their smoothies I decided to follow suit – it puts those jars to use and it makes for some cute pictures. I also recently got some Ecojarz jar toppers(pictured) to use on these jars when I’m taking my smoothie in the car on my way to work. Paired with these cute glass straws, this is perfect for bringing my smoothie to drink on my way to work.

Banana Berry Smoothie

Ingredients
  1. 2 cups unsweetened plant-based milk or coconut water
  2. 1 cup fresh spinach
  3. 1 cup frozen blueberries
  4. 1/4 cup raw almonds
  5. 1 frozen banana
  6. 2 fresh pitted dates
  7. 1/2 Tbsp chia seeds
  8. 1/2 Tbsp ground flaxseed
Instructions
  1. Blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth.
Notes
  1. Keep in mind that spinach is on the list of the 12 most contaminated fruits and vegetables so I would recommend purchasing organic!

Brunch at @bistrovonish. Making a veggie stir fry! I got broccoli, sugar snap peas, mushrooms, carrots, onion and cabbage. Seasoned with a garlic and ginger sauce. Going to sprinkle to final product with roasted cashews and sesame seeds. Yum! #WhatVegansEat
