Shifting the way we view meals and the composition of food on our plate is a big change when switching from the standard american diet(SAD) to a plant-based one. We’re so used to meat being the center of the meal while “side dishes” and vegetables (hopefully at least some) make an appearances only as accents to it. So it’s no wonder that when many people think of a vegan Thanksgiving plate they picture Tofurkey as being the only option. But these people would be sadly mistaken – and totally missing out!

That’s why I wanted to put together this list of amazingly creative – and compassionate – vegan Thanksgiving recipes that will make anyone’s mouth water. I’ve gathered recipes for everything “side dishes” to desserts to main courses (yes, vegan main courses DO exist). Also check out my list of must-have ingredients for Thanksgiving.

    It’s a good collection, but could you please remove the recipes that list non-vegan ingredients without listing a specific substitution? Such as the vegetable wellington one, which lists 1 egg and goat cheese. If someone is trying to accommodate a vegan at their meal and comes across these recipes, they may unknowingly serve eggs and dairy to vegans.

    • I found that recipe and so wanted to include it because it looked delicious. I had decided not to bother but somehow it ended up in there. Thanks for letting me know – I removed it!
