One of my favorite things about cooking – and eating – is homemade sauces and salad dressings – yum! I love that there are almost endless possibilities of flavor combinations to be created. One of my go-to recipes for a quick and delicious salad is this easy vegan balsamic vinaigrette.

This dressing is super quick and made with yummy fresh ingredients like garlic and basil to make a crisp and delicious salad really easily.

It’s easy to customize by adding different spices. You could try thyme, oregano, rosemary, etc.

It’s even possible to make a creamy, oil-free version of this vinaigrette by swapping the olive oil for tahini and a little bit of water(as needed).

And there are many ways to use this dressing other than just on salads! You can pour this on top of sliced tomatoes or dip some crusty ciabatta into it as crowd-pleasing appetizer.

This vinaigrette can also be use as a marinade for tofu or veggies. Place your ingredients into a flat dish or a bag and coat with the dressing. The longer it can marinate, the better. You can also drizzle it on a power bowl.

Ingredients
  1. 1/4 cup olive oil
  2. 2 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
  3. 1 Tbsp chopped fresh basil
  4. 1 clove fresh garlic
  5. 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
  1. Grate the garlic finely into a bowl with the olive oil and chopped basil, black pepper. Whisk in the balsamic vinegar. Enjoy!
